The "Abramos Nuestros Laboratorios" ("Let’s Open Our Laboratories") initiative, part of the Explora Program in the Los Ríos Region, aims to bring students and teachers closer to scientific research through guided visits to university laboratories. This program fosters curiosity, hands-on learning, and a deeper understanding of science by allowing participants to explore the technologies, experiments, and projects being developed by researchers in the region.

As part of this initiative, I participated as a scientific advisor, teaching and guiding students from Panguipulli in a cellular biology project. The project focused on understanding the effects of maqui berry extract on lysosomes in human neuroglioma cells. The results of the research enabled the students to win the provincial science fair, present at the XXX Anual Meeting of the Chilean Society for Cell Biology, and ultimately publish their findings in the student science journal Brotes Científicos
