ISEV 2025 annual meeting-Vienna 2025

As a member of the Executive Committee of the Student Network on Extracellular Vesicles (SNEV), I played an active role in shaping the scientific and networking program of the International Society for Extracellular Vesicles (ISEV) Annual Meeting 2025 in Vienna. My contributions combined organizational leadership within SNEV, active participation in the official congress program, and the dissemination of my own postdoctoral research.

SNEV Executive Committee Activities

Together with my SNEV colleagues, I co-organized and moderated a series of initiatives aimed at fostering mentorship, career development, and community building for students and early-career researchers:

  • Meet the Experts Sessions

    • Session I: Fundamental & Physiology

    • Session II: Analysis, Reproducibility & Application
These interactive discussions offered young researchers the chance to directly engage with world-leading experts in EV biology.

  • SNEV Satellite Events

    • EVs Academic Insertion: Experiences from Young PIs

    • Industry on EVs: Transition from Academia
Both events provided a platform to explore career paths inside and outside academia through open conversations with young PIs and industry leaders.

  • Lunch with EV-Chat
A networking lunch that connected participants across research areas, creating new opportunities for collaboration in an informal setting.

Scientific Program Contributions

Beyond my organizational role, I also contributed to the scientific core of ISEV2025:

  • Panelist in Viewpoints from the Hands-On Scientists: Challenges and Future Directions

  • Co-Chair of the session Mechanisms of EV Biogenesis, facilitating discussions on the latest advances in the field.

  • Presentation of my postdoctoral research, sharing my latest findings on autophagy, extracellular vesicles, and antiviral defense mechanisms.

Feature at SNEV Podcasts

In this podcast episode, I shared my experience as a member of the International Organizing Committee (IOC) at ISEV2025. I spoke about organizing sessions such as Meet the Experts, Satellite Events, and Lunch with EV-Chat, reflecting on the challenges and rewards of creating spaces that connect early-career researchers with leading experts.
