Cats Through the Lens

Throughout his life, Cristóbal has been closely connected to cats. In this way, he has learned to observe them as a mystery without explanation, presences that ask no permission to exist and yet fill everything around them. In every captured moment, each cat seems to reveal only a fragment of its secret, as if the film emulsion were the only place capable of containing its living essence.

In this series, Cristóbal presents the cat not as a symbol or metaphor, but as pure presence: beings that appear to come from a realm of their own, self-sufficient and indifferent to the need to please. They do not seek to be seen, and yet their existence radiates and inhabits the space with absolute naturalness.
